So sorry to read of the passing of Charlotte.
My sincere sympathy to her family. She was always a sweet and friendly person when we would occasionally run into each other while shopping.

CHARLOTTE'S OBITUARY
Charlotte Hudson Hopkins, 82, of Bassett, died Friday, April 1, 2022 at the Mulberry Creek Rehab Center. She was born in Martinsville on January 26, 1940 to the late John Julian Hudson and the late Maggie May Gunter Hudson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Hopkins, Sr.

She was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church in Patrick Springs but had attend Starling Avenue Baptist Church for over 30 years and had served on numerous capacities with the adult’s and youth’s groups.

Charlotte retired from Schlueter Electric Company having worked 45 years. She was a member of the Extension Homemakers, the Credit Women International serving in different offices, the Patrick Henry Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary since 1973 and had been a hospice volunteer at Sovah Health-Martinsville and Mountain Valley Hospice in Patrick Springs. She dearly loved her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, James Edward “Jamie” Hopkins, Jr. of Bassett.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM in Bassett Funeral Service Chapel where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM with Pastor Rick Anderson officiating.
