Let's hear some good news! - 16
07/19/06     Dawn Chappell Shank  (1969)      dshank51@msn.com
I haven't checked the website in a while, and am sad to see so many people have lost parents and loved ones this year....guess we're at that age.

Anybody doing anything fun out there? Randy and I went to hear Paul Simon last week in Columbia, MD. He was great...still cute. I always liked short musician types...
We're heading to Alaska in August. What are the rest of you up to?
I still think we ought to all go on a cruise together before we go "slip sliding away."

Re: Let's hear some good news!
Alaska in this heat sure sounds good. The cruise sounds good only if the steering on the ship is checked before we set sail. Ray

Alaska is one of the most beautiful places I've been to. We were just up there visiting friends last month. I'm sure you will have a great trip. Watch out for the bears!!

OK, here's some good news. My sister, Betty, and I went to St. Louis last week to visit our baby sister, Bonnie. Our plane landed 2 hours before the tornadoes hit. We didn't get a scratch!! We had tickets to see Les Miserables at the fabulous Fox theatre...the theatre didn't get a scratch...the show was absolutely awesome!! Charles and I celebrated our 35th anniversary last week. (Can you believe he's put up with me that long?) We're debating on a trip to Alaska, Canada or New England this fall. What's your vote? Oh, and have I mentioned lately that my grandsons are wonderful?

Re: Let's hear some good news!
Dawn, I really like the idea of a cruise -- I could use one NOW!!
Work has been keeping me busier than I have wanted. Have also taken on a project to help promote the equine industry in SC by the passage of a Equine Promotion Bill which will be introduced in January. I certainly have had an education on the industry from all sides. Never knew it could be so political. But, I love the animal involved and that is where my energies are placed. Sort of like having a second job. Hope everyone is well. Take good care.
