Re: Obit Notice |
Phil, unfortunately, it is. One of my best friends ever. Always knew what to say when you were sad if someone broke your heart, celebrated with you when you were happy, and took up for you when others didn't. A great cheerleader on and off the field. Rest in peace, sweet Nancy. |

Re: Obit Notice |
Sandra, I knew the two of you were close (Best) friends and I hope you will accept my heartfelt condolences. It has been several years since I last saw Nancy and she had changed very little. She still had that beautiful "light up the room" smile. The world sometimes grows dimmer when it loses special ones... but our memories of her can serve as a lasting beacon from the good spirit she shared. |

Re: Obit Notice |
I just saw Nancy a few months ago with Katherine Riddle and Charlotte and Linda Powell. We had lunch at the Wild Magnolia and had a ball laughing about old times. I did fuss at her for smoking but she said she was fine. I loved her and will never forget her kindness.

Re: Obit Notice |
So absolutely sorry to hear of the death of Nancy! She was an exceptional person! I can close my eyes and picture her in that grey cheerleader uniform--complete with the two-tone buck shoes and bobbie socks. She was always kind
and somewhat generous! I remember one time at the back of the school during lunch I bumed a cigarette from her.
As she left for class, she came up to me and said, "Jenkie,
here's the rest of the pack" and handed it over to me, with her famous smile! Nancy, thank you and be assured that you will never be forgotten! Rest in peace.

Re: Obit Notice |
Have you ever not known someone well yet you knew they were a friend? That was Nancy to me. After high school, we worked together for a couple of years at Sale Knitting until I left on maternity leave. l am going to miss not receiving her Christmas card this year. My heartfelt empathy goes to her family and many friends. |
