Re: ANYONE REMEMBER |
Yes, Jerry, I'm afraid I do. I was in senior government class. We had just come back from lunch and always listened to the news. What a life-changing day. Sallie |

Re: ANYONE REMEMBER |
Yes Jerry, I remember where I was that day also. I got out of school early to go to work, and I went by Globman's first and they interrupted the music(over the intercom) to announce that the
President had been shot.It was as if everyone stopped what they were doing to listen,it was about the same on September 11.I don't think anyone will ever forget those two days and where they were.

Re: ANYONE REMEMBER |
I was in Notehand class, which has gone the way of Latin as a useful subject I think, and I recall it was a little before 1:00 when the announcement came over the PA. I think I was sitting near Flora Rislow, because I have this mental picture of an agonized expression on her face and I remember her saying "What will we do?" or words to that effect. Its possible some or all of these details are wrong, but that's the way I remember it. I do NOT remember ever using notehand once during my college years. |

Re: ANYONE REMEMBER |
I remember being in English class and the teacher telling us not to worry that our country was strong and that we would be ok. Now so many years later on Sept. 11th I found myself having to tell my students not to worry our country would be ok. |
