Melvin - I think the 45th should be the same weekend as the Old Dawgs event - we could have just our class together on Sunday of that weekend.

MELVIN:
I'm willing to get involved. My wife and I live in Martinsville, I know enough class of '65 alumni living here to assemble a core group to launch a 45th reunion committee. However, I don't think it should be combined with the Old Dawgs Reunion because that splinters everybody. My wife, formerly Myra Thrasher in the class of '63, has frequent reunions here with her old classmates and I'm fortunate enough to join in. We had a ball!
It's just a matter of diggin' in and getting started.
I'm ready.

Jim - my reason for suggesting we have the 45th reunion on the same weekend as the old dawgs event is that many of us travel in to Martinsville from long distances - making two trips in one year would not be possible for many of us. A combined weekend allows us to attend both reunions.

I think it would be fabulous to have a 45th class reunion. I have missed hearing and seeing folks from our class. I have retired so maybe I could help with invitations, etc. for our get-together. I would love to help get our class together. Let me know!
