Re: Famous brother, Jimmy ( Percy ) Painter |
Irvin - you have every right to be proud of
your brother and his accomplishments. Jimmy
"Percy" Painter will forever be remembered
by me as "all aces". I wouldn't give a lot
of credence to what Junior Hill had to say.
Junior is another "all aces" guy in my book.
But, he is also known to "stretch the truth"
a little. |

I plan to see Jimmy's induction into the hall of fame as we live in Grand Junction, CO where the event is held each year! Hope he remembers a cheerleader-classmate from MHS '56. Wish some of you could also attend. Colorado is especially beautiful in May! |

To the class of 1954,
Jim Painter's induction into the Junior
College Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame went great. Jim was honored for his coaching. He
received a jacket with a JuCo emblem and a ring with his name and other info. Also, he received a plaque for himself and one in the
display cabinet. (Jim was in a dither!)
