Another Classy Class Member Is Gone - 3

Homer W. Handy, age 66, recently passed
away in Richmond, Virginia. I personally
will always recall Homer as a "class act".
My heart and prayers go out to his family.
Rest in peace, Homer!

RICHMOND -- Homer Washington Handy Jr., 66, of Richmond, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Nott Handy, and a son, William Robert Handy.
Surviving are his mother, Pearl Handy of Martinsville; children, Mary-Suzanne Powell, Homer "Tripp" Handy II, Clair Norman, Heather Hayes, Michael Handy and Grace Gallagher; a sister, Geneva Winn; and a number of grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Bliley Funeral Home Central Chapel, 3801 August Ave., Richmond, from 6-8 p.m. today. A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church Building Fund, 909 Rennie Ave., Richmond, Va. 23227
