Julia Hood's dad passed away on Tuesday evening. From what I understand, he had been in the hospital for six weeks after emergency surgery on his stomach. He had a number of set-backs once he was in the hospital. Once again, the class of '68 extends its heartfelt sympathy to Julia and Neal. Please take the time to let Julia know that we are all there for her at this very difficult time. You can send her a card at: 199 Mohawk Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15228. Julia's dad will be buried by her mother in Martinsville on Saturday.
This is a very tough time in our lives with so many of us losing parents or dealing with mothers and fathers who are seriously ill. If you are one of the fortunate ones, like me, who still have them around, take the time to let them know how much you love them and treasure the time you can spend with them.
To those of you who have recently lost a parent, our hearts go out to you. And, Julia, our thoughts and prayers are with you now and we will pray for strength to get you through this. We all love you! |
