New Address/Recommendation - 15
02/01/05     Bob White  (1968)      quailster@msn.com
Following well established tradition, I have once again lagged several months behind Jim Barnes in being on the cutting edge of things, but finally broke down and set up high speed access at home. Please make note of the new email address.
I think we should take up a collection, and hire Dawn Chappell Shank to set up our next reunion. It looks like the Class of '69 had a good time, even if they will forever dwell in the shadow of our legendary accomplishments in the classrooms and on the playing fields of Mavahi. I also commend them for the donation to the website, and encourage everyone else to support this labor of love.

Re: New Address/Recommendation
Strong words, Bob ... but well said. I
cannot comment on your reunion arranging
recommendation but the rest was sound ad-
vice. I switched from "dial up" to "sprint
fast connect dsl" sometime ago ... and al-
thoug the cost is higher ... it has been
well worth it to me. I join you in recom-
mending that ALL classmembers of ALL classes
exert more effort into communicating on this
site. I also join you in recommending that
contributions be sent to the webmaster to
ensure that MaVaHi site continues to grow

Re: New Address/Recommendation
I'm sure Dawn will be flattered, Bob, but I could probably tell you what her reply would be to your suggestion of her organizing your class reunion...paid or otherwise. Since this website has been so instrumental in bringing together so many of our friends from across a broad spectrum of classes, I think it was only fitting that Dawn make the donation on behalf of our class. I, too, am changing over to DSL from dial-up. Not sure quite yet how it will affect my e-mail address...it may change if I decide to drop AOL and use my new phone service company as my gateway to the internet.

Re: New Address/Recommendation
Hey Bob!
Good idea about enlisting Dawn as "consultant" to 68's reunion. As for the "forever dwell in the shadow of our legendary accomplishments" part--it's great to see that you still have that wry sense of humor, after lo, these many years!
