What a great website! Who did this? I must have missed the pool hall somewhere, but I do remember that place down the street from the high school. You know cokes and french fries. I cannot remember the name of it.

Hi Jo! This is fun FAPS woman! That was the place Mary Howard and I would go to get the hot dogs during our work in the attendance office. It's the place that had the huge doughnuts. Have you heard from Mary Howard? Sue Wade Goodall

Re: Wow! This is great!
I think the name of the soda joint down the street from school was called Floyds. The thing I remember most about that place was the day Kennedy was shot I went in and everyone was in shock with most people crying.

Down the street...
If you were brave, you could have gone to MAYS. it was located down the street from Floyds.

Hey Jo, Sue, Sam and Will! I miss you all!!!!! Ha! I was 'brave' and stupid! I went to Floyds and Mays at least once a week during study hall! Sometimes I would venture a bit farther and go home on Starling Ave. to watch a soap opera! No one ever caught me since I carried a piece of paper to look official, as if I was taking a message to the junior high. Oh, those were the good ole days! Love y'all!
