Stories of Jean - 11
05/04/05     douglas finney  (1964)      douglasfinney@cox.net
Maybe we could all post stories of Jean from her "storied youth". Her family might appreciate reading our memories of her.

My favorite story was the Sunday we were out "riding" (in our cars, not our horses!) and we decided to drive up to Gov Stanley's home in Bassett. I am not sure who was with us but I think it was Judy Crews and maybe someone else.
Well, I told everyone that Gov. Stanley had been a friend of our family and I was sure if we went to the door and I announced who I was that we would get a tour. No one else would walk with me to the house but Jean, of course! We knocked and Mrs. Stanley came to the door and I announced who we were and that we wanted a tour. Mrs. Stanley invited us in and expalined that they were getting ready for an extended tour of Europe and showed us how all of the furniture was already covered.
By the time I got home Mrs. Stanly had already called my father!

There many more stories to be shared so let's remember her by our shared memories. As long as we have our memories she will still be with us!

Everyone try to come to the all class reunion in October.

Love to you all!

Live life well and take advantage of each day!
