Prayers for Jackson - 10
04/05/16     jim Stegall  (1963)      jimmyra09@comcast.net
Hey folks. I bring you this message from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. My wife (Myra Thrasher, '65) and I bumped into Jackson Price (Walter Jackson Price II) today in the Stuart, Virginia WalMart. He was with his wife and I apologize because I can't remember her first name. As Jackson stood aside with a walker, his wife told us that Jackson has an brain tumor and will spend his last days at Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. I'll always remember Jackson as that quiet, soft-spoken kid in high school who always smiled and spoke to you. He was never in the limelight, but who among us didn't like Jackson. He hasn't changed a bit. Still quiet and smiling. Every time I saw him over the years he always asked me "when are we going to have a class reunion." I'm not sure if he was there for the 50th, but I certainly hope he was. My heart goes out to Jackson. His brain tumor is inoperable. So, let us pray!

Re: Prayers for Jackson
Jim, thanks so much for letting us know about Jackson. He was a nice guy and I am so sorry to hear about these circumstances. We will keep both he and his wife in our thoughts and prayers.

Re: Prayers for Jackson
Jimmy, Thanks for letting us know about Jackson. Haven't seen him since HS and don't believe he made it to our 50th. He and his folks lived on my paper route and he seemed to be around most of the time when I was making my rounds.
