hello class of 58 - 5
06/06/06     Susie Amburn Scott  (1958)      jesuslovsu@earthlink.net
been a long time since I saw any of you. I did not get to graduate with the class of 58, I married in summer of 57 and didn't return to school only later to relize what a mistake I had made. I have since remarried to a wonderful man and we have 5 children 4 girls and 1 boy all grown, with 12 grandchildren and 2 great grands. some of you may not remember me but I ran the cash register in the cafeteria for 4yrs, the 25 cent line, boy doesn't that sound good 25 cents for lunch. Mr Keyser called me the lady who took all his money. My grandson just showed me this web page and I was really amazed. Hope to hear from some of you

Hey Susie, It was great to see your name on this site. Where do you live now? I remember you running the cafeteria register. Mr. Keyser was a sweet guy. He ran the projectors for the Rives Theater Saturday midnight movies. In my yearbook he wished luck to "The gal with the long hair, who never missed a Saturday midnight movie." (laugh) There are two really wonderful reunions that you should consider attending. Have you heard of the "Old Dawgs"? It is held in the fall at the old school on Cleveland Ave. Anyone who ever attended there is invited, regardless of what grade they completed. Oct. 7th will be the date this year. The other one is a ladies luncheon that is held at the Dutch Inn each May. Mavahi ladies, mostly from the classes of '58 & '59, get that one together, but they welcome those from '57 and '56, too.
More details about both events will be posted on here closer to the date, so keep checking back. Can't ever tell who else you might spot from your good old Mavahi days.

Re: hello class of 58
Esther, was great to hear from you, did you know Mr. Keyser's son teaches at martinsville middle school. My grandson is in one of his classes. I told Jesse to tell him when He was born, his MeMaw was in his Dad's U.S. History class and he was so happy about His son's birth he bought us all a chocolate covered popsicle. Jesse told him and He said "thank you for telling me that, it just made my day." you know Mr Keyser didn't live too long after He was born. Have you seen any of the "northside girls" lately? I haven't. I'm going to try to come to the "old dawgs" reunion this year. Gloria Hankins Weaver told me about it. I'm am living in Martinsville on Roundhill Road. catch you later, Susie
