Another Teacher Gone - Linda Dodson - 24
01/12/07     Tonya Breedlove Poindexter  (1979)
2006 was not a good year for the MAVAHI family. We lost several of our family members. We ended the year losing yet another, Linda Dodson. Miss Dodson was my favorite math teacher in Junior High and High School...then Beverly Parker Vickers came along and there were two. Miss Dodson believed in all of our abilities even when we didn't believe in ourselves. She was more than a teacher....she was my friend. I lost touch over the years but she was always in my thoughts and heart. Say hello to "Coach" when you see him.... he closed his eyes a few days before you........ "It's So Hard To Say Good-bye To Yesterday."

Fond memories of Miss Dodson's Algebra class! I constantly got in trouble passing notes in her class and talking. She sent me to the auditorium to finish my conversation one time!! That was amazing because I should have went to the Principals office! Our class had a good time with her! I wish now that I would have paid better attention to the Math! May she rest in peace and her family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm also hearing that Mrs. Vickers (Parker) is not not doing well also. My prayers are with Mr. "V" and his family.
