What the hell is going on here? - 11
03/17/03     Tommy Hall  (1964)      tehall@sitestar.net
Hey guys what the hell is going on here? Prior to the reunion we were all shucking and jiving about everything under the sun; since that time there hasn't been hardly any communication at all. So how about every body start checking in and staying in touch.
Life is too short and getting shorter every day. Lets pick up the pace and "continue the march."
COL Tom

Jolly good show, Col Tom. You hit the
"nail on the head". I left MaVaHi several
years ahead of you .... but, agree 100 per
cent with your assessment of "keeping in
touch". Folks don't seemed to realize that
once you get that permanent assignment
"pushing up daisys in shady grove" - it is
too late to say "howdy" to your old friends.

Re: What the hell is going on here?
Howdy Col Tom, I agree with you totally. I check the posted messages regularly, which have been few and far between, but, alas, have little to say or respond. I can remember precious little from high school, but do remember last weekend where I was in Vegas and saw the Cirque du Soleil show at the Bellagio Hotel. What a show! We had a Crews reunion there to celebrate my sister's 60th birthday. How are things with you? I'm ready for Spring now, as this has been the worst winter I can remember. I still love your jokes/quotes you send. Keep 'em coming....

Roger that Col. Darlin. Tis a sad day when your mates fade away...again. Who do you want to beat up first? I say we start with Cotty and work our way up:)

Re: What the hell is going on here?
Hey Tommy!
Lots going on for me. We had a "girls" reunion in Nags Head in November with Jean Branham, Nell Rislow, Geeta Draper, Susan Westfall, Anne Gravely, Judy Crews, Jinky Critz, Betty Sue and Carol Copenhaver and Patricia Hancock, Jennifer Hill and Ann Carter Gardner.I have been fortunate enough to have been back to Nags Head several times since then and have seen Bobby Hall and his family and well as Billy Nease's lovely daughter at one of the local restaurants.
I saw Anne in Richmond in March for the CAA basketball tournament.Anne and her son Rusty have also had Thankgsgivng with me and my husband and my Mom for the past 3 years.
Betty Sue and I made another trip together with some of my college friends to Nags Head and tried to connect with Bobby but he was out of town. I was in Martinsville for Easter and went to a wonderful Easter service at the Methodist Church; what a wonderful minister!

My Mom and I and Betty Sue and Carol had lunch at Chatmoss and saw a number of other longtime friends, not seen for years. Easter Monday, my brother Stan flew in from Dallas and David Jones had a lovely party for him so I got to see a lot of my friends from his class.
In August, my Mom and Betty Sue and my brother Fred and his family are renting 2 houses on the North Beaches, North of Nags Head. So, as you can see, I am blessed with the opportunity to see so many of my Martinsville friends.
Love to you all!
Douglas
