John Michael Uram - 11
10/29/11     Ken Wilson  (1964)      kennwilson@embarqmail.com
I am sorry to inform all of you of the untimely passing of Mike Uram. Mike passed away at his home Friday night, October 28 of an apparent heart attack. His wife Peggy, Tom Hall and I were given the sad news by the emergency room doctor. He was the last of the Uram family we knew so well, He is survived by his wife Peggy, a nephew, Andrew Uram of Chicago Ill., and a niece, Melissa Uram of Houston Texas.
Words can't express my sadness....I will miss my dear friend of 53 years.

Re: John Michael Uram
Mike and I were best friends when we about eight or nine years old. We played Army constantly and "killed" more enemy oponents than can be counted down along the creek off Indian Trail.

Mike - May your new journey have fair winds and sunny skies!

I've got good memories of Mike and Greg in Troop 264 at Forest Hills Presbyterian ...playing capture the flag and camping on the Dyer property off Gratton RD. He was a good guy to grow up with and have fond memories about... Here's to you, Mike.

Re: John Michael Uram
Some of you may remember that I lived across the street from Mike and Jeff, and parents Sam and Grace, for many years. I too can remember playing with them all over the neighborhood ( before parents kept their kids corralled and cell-phone tethered like many of today's modern parents ). I remember that Mike was a star player on "The Grattan Road Ramblers", a neighborhood football team that we had which played other neighborhood teams. It was a magical time and we had a great place to grow up, and although we were never close friends, I have many warm and indelible memories of Mike and his family.
